Whitehouse Cottage, Inveresk, Musselburgh, Scotland.

The site is situated in the conservation village of Inveresk and backs on to an impressive and well kept walled garden. The house and garden were seperate entities and the idea of the project was to link the house and garden in a more appropriate way to modern living.

A steel and glass structure has been erected along the side of the house allowing the house and garden to integrate. The extension is modern thus maintaining the integrity of the form of the original traditional house.
